Independent laboratory test of VästerbottensSåpa’s deck soap

An independent laboratory in the Netherlands investigated how VästerbottensSåpa's superfatting soap works on old treated wood. The test showed that the product produced a visible cleaning effect and that treated old wood was perceived as significantly softer after just one stroke.

Summary

The laboratory tested two things.

  1. How well the soap cleans old wood.
  1. How the wooden surface feels after treatment.

The results show that cleaning improved after treatment and that the panel participants perceived the treated old wooden surface as significantly softer than the untreated reference.
Worth noting, the testing institute performed only 8 strokes per evaluation; normally, when scrubbing, a brush is moved back and forth several times.
