About the company
We are a small family-owned company in inland Västerbotten. We are based in Vilhelmina, a large small mountain municipality bordering Norway.
Vilhelmina is beautifully situated by Lake Volgsjön, overlooking Blaikfjället, with the 6-mile-long Lake Malgomaj just above the community. Here we make soap according to a recipe passed down from great-grandmother Fredrika Helmersson, which can be traced back as far as 1926, although it is probably much older.
It is an old idea and an old recipe, but today circular models and reuse are highly relevant. In the climate transition, reuse and circular systems play a very important role. Cleaning with our circular products will not solve all our environmental and climate problems, but it is a good start—and it is also a fairly easy thing to do. Replace your cleaning products with products from Soapa and become a little more climate-smart while significantly improving your indoor environment.
We who run the company are Sara & Magnus Idenfors, and we are passionate about reuse and environmentally friendly cleaning.
