Beware of online scams

Unfortunately, online scams are becoming increasingly common and can appear in many different forms. They may involve fake online stores, offers, contests, or social media accounts that can sometimes look very convincing.

That is why we at Soapa would like to share a few simple tips on what it may be good to pay extra attention to when shopping or encountering us online.

When you shop for Soapa

Be a little extra careful if:

• the web address looks different or unfamiliar
• prices or offers seem too good to be true
• you end up on a website through an advertisement or link you do not recognize
• a website uses our name, images, or products, but something still does not feel right
• you are asked to share sensitive information in a way you do not recognize.

We enjoy surprising you with contests on our social media. Unfortunately, fake accounts sometimes try to impersonate companies in connection with contests. Therefore, there are a few things worth knowing:

• We will never ask a winner to pay a fee to receive their prize.
• We will never ask you to click an unknown link to receive a prize.

Have you received a message saying that you have won and are unsure whether it really comes from us? Do not click any links or share any information. Please contact us directly at info@vasterbottenssapa.se, and we will help you verify that everything is correct.

Does something not feel quite right?

Trust your instincts and feel free to double-check. If you see a website, advertisement, account, or message that appears to come from Soapa but you are unsure about it, please get in touch with us. Please include a link or screenshot of what you saw. 

Have you already shared your card details or made a payment and later suspect that something is not right? Contact your bank or card issuer as soon as possible. You can also file a police report.
