Can you treat pressure-treated wood with soap?
Sara Idenfors
Yes, you can absolutely use Soapa on pressure-treated wood. Pressure treatment today is very effective, so you do not need to worry that your decking will rot or deteriorate because you do not treat it with lots of chemicals in spring and autumn. This is simply not necessary when the wood is pressure-treated. What you can or should do is make sure the surface is one you want to spend time on, that it feels comfortable to walk on, and that it looks good. Another benefit is that the decking is easy to clean. In summer, you want as much time as possible for things other than washing and cleaning ;)
Feel free to use Soapa on your pressure-treated decking; it will make it silky smooth and pleasant to spend time on. Soapa will remove algae and mold from older decking, as well as spills from all of summer’s parties.
