Partners

For our circular business idea to work, we need partners who share a similar commitment to circular systems and reuse.

We collaborate with a number of restaurants throughout Västerbotten County. These restaurants use only rapeseed oil (sometimes a rapeseed/corn blend), and never palm oil. They handle the oil carefully and do not mix it with animal fat such as grease scraped from griddles. Once the oil has been used, we collect it, purify it at our factory, and saponify it into soft soap. The restaurant then receives some of the soap back so that it can clean its own premises. This creates a circular system and a circular product that customers can purchase.

By reusing raw materials, we minimize our climate footprint. It is easy to think that transportation is the main “culprit,” but the fact is that the greatest emissions are generated when we produce new raw materials. That is why circularity and reuse are so important if we are to achieve our climate goals. You can read more about this on our sustainability page.

We collaborate with Strawberry Umeå, where Nils Albertsson is a true sustainability champion and driving force behind the sustainability efforts. Nils has been with us for many years, and together we have developed and driven the issue of circularity in companies’ daily operations.
